Our Mission
The Humane Society of Johnson County is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in Franklin, Indiana, dedicated to enhancing the companion animal-human bond. We strive to improve lives through proactive adoption, community education, and dedicated advocacy for the animals in our care.
Building a Stronger Community
We believe in the power of community support to create lasting change for our four-legged friends. Beyond our animal care, we serve the local area with a variety of initiatives, including a pet food pantry, low-cost spay and neuter services, a free vaccination clinic, and educational outreach for local schools and youth groups.
How We Care
Our work is made possible by the generosity of our supporters, as we do not receive government funding. We maintain a transparent environment where we share our daily routines and needs to ensure every animal receives the attention they deserve. We are also excited to be building a new low-cost spay and neuter clinic to further reduce homeless animal populations in our region.
