Humane Society for Greater Lafayette
Our Mission
The Humane Society for Greater Lafayette is dedicated to providing humane shelter and care for companion animals while working to build complete families through adoption. We are committed to ending the animal overpopulation crisis in our community through advocacy and spay and neuter services.
Who We Are
Established in 2022 as a non-profit 501c3 organization, we serve as a vital beacon for animal welfare in Tippecanoe County. We operate as a centralized location for lost or stray animals, providing a safe harbor where they receive the care and compassion they deserve.
Our Approach
We believe in the five freedoms of animal welfare and strive to live by these principles every single day. By focusing on Socially Conscious Sheltering, we ensure every guest in our care experiences freedom from hunger, discomfort, pain, and fear. Our team also offers essential community resources, including food assistance programs, to help keep pets with their loving families.
Building Lifelong Bonds
When you choose to adopt from us, you aren't just bringing home a pet; you are participating in a success story. We are here to help you find the perfect companion and provide guidance on how to help them transition into their new life. Whether you are ready to open your home to a new friend or support our mission, you are helping us create more happy endings.
