Cass County Humane Society
Our Mission
At the Cass County Humane Society, we believe that every animal deserves a loving home. For over 75 years, we have been dedicated to caring for the abandoned, homeless, and lost animals of our community, working tirelessly to give them the life they truly deserve.
A Legacy of Compassion
Established in 1948, we are your neighbors—a small, dedicated operation with a big heart. While we receive some support from the City of Logansport and the County, our mission relies on the generosity of the community and the dedication of our volunteers to keep our doors open and our tails wagging.
How We Care
We provide a safe haven for our animals at our facility on Water Street, where they receive veterinary care, enrichment, and plenty of love. From dog walking to socializing our cats, our volunteers are the heart of our shelter, ensuring every animal feels supported while waiting for their perfect match. We are also committed to animal welfare beyond our walls, offering a pet food pantry and low-cost programs for the community.
Finding Your Match
Adoption is a joyful partnership, and we are here to help you find a new family member who fits perfectly into your life. Whether you are meeting a potential companion in our cat room or taking a dog for a meet-and-greet, our team is ready to guide you through a transparent, straightforward process. All our animals are fully vetted, microchipped, and vaccinated before heading to their new forever homes.
