At Gibson County Animal Services (GCAS), we are dedicated to protecting the health and safety of both our animals and the residents of our community. We strive to provide every animal in our care with a safe, compassionate environment as they wait to find their forever home.
Founded as a non-profit organization in Gibson County, Indiana, we serve our community by promoting responsible pet ownership and acting as an educational resource for local schools and civic groups. Our work is supported by a community that cares deeply for animals, including the generous legacy of donors who have made the construction of our new shelter facility possible.
GCAS is an open-admission shelter, meaning we accept every pet that arrives at our doors. Our dedicated team and volunteers work tirelessly to care for these animals, ensuring they are healthy, happy, and well-socialized while they wait to meet their new families. Even when our shelter is full, we collaborate with rescues and fosters to do everything in our power to provide every animal the best chance at a happy life.
We believe in the power of the perfect match. To ensure a lifetime of happiness, we help you get to know the temperament and personality of any animal you are interested in before you commit to adoption. When you adopt from us, your new companion will be microchipped, vaccinated, and either already altered or supported by a spay/neuter voucher for your veterinarian.
Are you ready to find your new best friend? We invite you to browse our current residents online or contact us at 812-664-7369 to schedule an appointment. We cannot wait to help you welcome a new, loving member into your family.
