HELP the Animals, Inc. is dedicated to providing a safe, no-kill shelter for lost or abandoned cats and dogs in our community. We are committed to ensuring every animal in our care receives the love, nourishment, and medical attention they deserve while they await their forever families.
Our Story
Our journey began in 1988, when a passionate group of animal advocates decided to take a stand against the suffering of nearby animals. Since that time, we have remained steadfast in our mission to be a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves, advocating relentlessly for the welfare of every pet that comes through our doors.
How We Care
At our facility on West Main Street in Richmond, our dedicated staff and volunteers work 365 days a year to provide a clean and compassionate environment. Every animal we intake is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and given the medical care they need to thrive. We believe that by providing a high standard of care, we can successfully guide these animals on their journey to permanent, loving homes.
