Animal Rescue of Carroll
Our Mission
Animal Rescue of Carroll, Inc. is dedicated to our core mission to adopt, educate, protect, and reunite. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, we work tirelessly to care for lost, unwanted, or homeless dogs and cats while advocating for spay and neuter programs and cruelty prevention.
Our Journey
Founded in 2006 by a group of passionate volunteers, our organization was born from a desire to improve welfare for pets in Carroll County, Iowa. Over the years, our dedication grew from foster-based efforts to the construction of our own fully operational shelter facility, which opened its doors in 2016.
How We Care
We are a community-driven organization powered by an Executive Director, a Board of Directors, and a dedicated team of volunteers who provide essential daily care and love to our animals. We operate as a no-kill rescue, providing a safe haven for local strays and animals involved in hoarding or abuse cases, ensuring they receive the support they need while awaiting their next chapter. By relying on grants, donations, and our foster network, we are able to provide medical care, stability, and comfort to pets in need.
The Perfect Match
We believe that adoption is a joyful partnership, which is why our process focuses on finding the best fit for both the pet and your unique lifestyle. We take the time to review applications thoughtfully, ensuring that our dogs and cats are matched with homes that will provide the love and stability they deserve for a lifetime.
