Last Hope Animal Rescue is dedicated to saving homeless, abused, and neglected animals, placing them into loving, forever homes where they can be cherished. Working together since 2004, we strive to provide a bright future for every animal that comes into our care.

Serving Our Community

Founded in 2004 by a group of like-minded individuals, our organization was formed to address the urgent needs of animals across Eastern Iowa. Over the last two decades, we have evolved to expand our footprint, including the acquisition of a dedicated adoption center in Cedar Rapids to support our life-saving work.

Our Foster-Based Model

As a 100% volunteer-run organization, we operate primarily through a compassionate foster home network. This approach allows us to provide animals with the comfort and stability of a home environment while they wait for their forever families, with our facility serving as a vital space for intake and specialized care.
