Almost Home Animal Rescue
Our Mission
Almost Home Animal Rescue is a small shelter with a big heart, driven by the belief that every animal deserves a loving home. We are dedicated to creating a better community through kindness to animals.
Why We Are Here
We serve the Chariton community by providing essential care and support for animals in need. As a non-profit, our mission is sustained entirely by the generosity of our donors, fundraisers, and community members who believe in the importance of our work.
How We Operate
As a licensed animal shelter, we provide a safe environment for our residents until they find their permanent families. We are proud to be a no-kill facility, which means we do not euthanize healthy or treatable animals for space. Our team works hard to ensure every animal receives the care they deserve while in our shelter.
Building Your Perfect Match
We believe that successful adoptions are built on compatibility and the right lifestyle fit. Our adoption process begins with an application, followed by vet and home checks, to ensure both our animals and their new families are set up for lifelong success. This thoughtful matching approach allows us to get to know you, so we can find a companion who truly fits your home and heart.
