Our Mission
PAWS Humane Society (Floyd County, IA) is dedicated to providing a safe haven for unwanted and abandoned animals while preventing neglect and cruelty. We believe all pets are worth saving and strive to find every animal in our care a loving, permanent home.
Our History
Founded in July 2000, our organization was born out of a community desire to provide second chances to local animals. We are proud to serve as one of the few remaining no-kill shelters in Iowa, ensuring that healthy, adoptable pets are guaranteed the opportunity to find a family.
How We Care
Operating as a 501c3 nonprofit, we provide essential care, vaccinations, and medical exams for every animal that comes through our doors. All residents are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, and we rely on a blend of community support, private donations, and dedicated volunteers to maintain our facility and continue our mission.
