Dog Gone Rescue, Inc. is dedicated to helping animals in need find loving forever homes. We believe that one person can make a genuine difference by following their passion to protect and care for our furry companions.
Founded in March 2011 by Director Janel McLain, our organization began when we saw many animals in our community struggling without food, shelter, or proper care. What started with building hand-crafted dog and cat houses has grown into a community-wide effort that has successfully placed hundreds of animals into warm, safe, and loving homes.
We are a foster-based rescue, meaning our animals are cared for in home environments until they are adopted. By operating out of our homes with the help of dedicated volunteers, we ensure each animal is acclimated to indoor living and receives the socialization they need to thrive. Beyond rescue, we are deeply committed to controlling the pet population through our Spay & Neuter fund, which assists families in need with essential veterinary care.
We believe adoption is a beautiful partnership that changes lives for the better. Because many of our rescue animals have never known the comforts of a home, we prioritize indoor placements where they can bond closely with their new families. When you choose to adopt from us, you aren't just finding a pet; you are becoming an essential part of the rescue journey.
There are so many meaningful ways to make an impact, whether it is fostering, donating, or welcoming a new furkid into your family. We invite you to view our Adoptable Pets to find your new best friend or reach out to us to learn how you can support our continued efforts. Together, we can ensure every animal finds the happiness they deserve.
