The Dubuque Regional Humane Society is dedicated to supporting, enriching, and connecting animals in need to the people who love and care for them. We are committed to building lifelong bonds between pets and people through compassionate care and community outreach.
Since our founding in 1901, our organization has grown from humble beginnings into a vital resource center for companion animals. Over the last 125 years, our commitment to rescue and animal well-being has remained steadfast as we serve our community across three counties and three states.
Operating as a non-profit resource center, we provide critical medical and behavioral interventions for thousands of animals each year. We utilize a combination of shelter-based care and dedicated support systems to ensure that 100% of the healthy, safe, and treatable animals in our care find pathways to new, loving homes.
We believe every companion animal deserves a permanent, loving home where they can thrive. When you choose to adopt from us, you aren't just finding a pet; you are completing your family and participating in a life-saving mission that honors the unique human-animal bond.
Whether you are looking to adopt a new best friend, volunteer your time, or support our ongoing work, there are many ways to get involved. We invite you to view our current adoptable dogs, cats, and critters online, or visit us at Kinsey's Campus to meet your potential companion in person. Together, we can build a future where all animals are treated with compassion and respect.
