Heavenly Pet Sanctuary is dedicated to rescuing, sheltering, and providing long-term care to lost, homeless, and abandoned companion animals. Our goal is to offer every dog and cat an ideal quality of life, free from pain, with the hope of finding them a permanent, loving home.
A Peaceful Haven
Founded in 2000, our sanctuary is nestled on a 34-acre oasis in the heart of southeast Iowa. We provide a safe, tranquil environment for over 100 residents, ensuring that each animal receives the individualized care and attention they truly deserve.
Our Care Model
We operate as a no-kill, 501(c)3 tax-exempt facility, emphasizing a cage-free lifestyle where our cats enjoy remodeled buildings and spacious outdoor runs. Our dogs benefit from large, grassy fenced areas and dedicated care, while our team utilizes a unique approach that combines traditional medicine with natural health practices like homeopathy and specialized nutrition.
