The Greenbelt Humane Society is dedicated to providing a safe, no-kill haven for cats and kittens in the Iowa Falls area. Our mission is to ensure every feline in our care receives the love, attention, and medical support they need while they await their forever families.
Our Journey
Founded by a passionate group of local volunteers in 1996, our organization has grown alongside the support of our incredible community. After years of hard work and successful fundraising, we achieved our dream in 2018 of moving to our current facility on River Street in Iowa Falls, creating a welcoming, homey environment for our feline guests.
How We Care
As a state-licensed, no-kill shelter, we operate entirely through the kindness of unpaid volunteers who care for our cats seven days a week. We take pride in maintaining an inviting space where potential adopters can comfortably meet our residents. Because we operate solely on donations, membership dues, and volunteer efforts, every action we take is fueled by our shared commitment to animal welfare.
