Raccoon River Pet Rescue
Our Mission
Raccoon River Pet Rescue is dedicated to finding loving and permanent homes for animals in our care. Our mission is to provide safe shelter for pets, strengthen the human-animal bond, and prevent the overpopulation of pets in Perry and our surrounding communities.
Our Story
We were created with a clear vision to serve as a safe and humane sanctuary for dogs and cats. Through the ongoing generosity of our supporters, we strive to build a facility that fosters meaningful connections between animals and the people who love them.
How We Help
We operate as a community-focused resource where volunteerism, fostering, and adoption opportunities come together to create a brighter future for pets. Our foster program plays a vital role by providing a temporary, safe home environment for animals that need special attention or a break from the shelter. Every pet in our care receives essential medical attention, including being spayed or neutered, microchipped, and kept up-to-date on vaccinations.
The Joy of Adoption
We believe that every adoption is the beginning of a beautiful partnership, which is why we focus on thoughtful matching to ensure the best fit for every family and pet. Our verification process helps us learn more about your lifestyle so we can set everyone up for long-term success. We are here to support you through every step of the journey, from your first introduction to welcoming your new companion home.
