Our Mission
At Safe Haven of Iowa County, we are dedicated to rescuing, protecting, and rehabilitating dogs and cats in need. Our goal is to change lives one adoption at a time by finding loving, forever homes for every animal that comes through our doors.
Our History
Our journey took a meaningful step forward in 2012 when Virginia Marie Hoppe gifted the former Krauss Furniture building to our cause. This grand gesture brought a new chapter to the facility, allowing us to provide a safe, warm shelter for pets while they wait to meet their new families.
Our Commitment to Care
While our facility offers a comfortable environment for our animals, we understand that shelter life is only a temporary stop. We believe in strengthening the bond between humans and animals by teaching responsible pet ownership and advocating for public education. Our dedicated team of volunteers works daily to provide the highest level of care, ensuring each pet receives the socialization and attention they deserve until they find their perfect match.
