People For Pets helps pets find loving homes and helps people find their perfect companion. We believe every animal deserves a safe, happy, and fulfilling life, and we work every day to provide that second chance.
Our Story
Founded more than 20 years ago by a dedicated group of volunteers, our organization began with a mission to improve the lives of companion animals. What started with private foster care grew into a permanent facility in 2001, allowing us to expand our services and provide a reliable safety net for animals in need within our community.
How We Care
We are proud to be a no-kill shelter, ensuring every animal remains in our care until they find a forever home. Our facility provides a safe environment for pets, ranging from those transferred after their holding periods to those needing protection from abuse or housing instability. Beyond our shelter, we operate community-focused initiatives like the Kayleen Rose Fund and the Find, Fix, Free Fund to support veterinary care and population management.
