Our Mission
Hamilton County Animal AdvoCATes is dedicated to making a positive difference for cats and the people who care for them. Through our programs, we strive to build a healthier, more compassionate community for our feline friends in Hamilton County, Iowa.
Our Story
We began in 2017 as a Trap-Neuter-Return organization, focused on addressing the local cat overpopulation crisis. As we encountered more kittens in need of help, we realized the community needed a dedicated space for rescue and adoption, leading us to open The Cat Hut in Webster City in 2022.
How We Help
We operate through three core programs: Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) to support community and barn cat populations, the CatSNAP spay/neuter assistance program for low-income residents, and our adoption center. The Cat Hut provides a safe environment for our rescues, where all cats and kittens receive essential veterinary care, including vaccinations, microchipping, and spay/neuter services, before they head to their new families.
