Emporia Kansas Animal Shelter
Our Mission
The City of Emporia Animal Control is dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of our community, working diligently to provide a healthy environment for both our residents and their beloved pets.
Our Role in the Community
We serve as a vital partner in maintaining the peace and harmony of Emporia’s neighborhoods. By enforcing animal ordinances, investigating welfare concerns, and offering educational support, we strive to promote responsible pet ownership throughout our city.
How We Operate
Our team works closely with local resources, including the Prairie Paws Animal Shelter, to provide care for animals in need. When an animal is found, we focus on facilitating a safe environment and, whenever possible, reuniting lost pets with their families as quickly as possible.
Your Partner in Pet Care
We believe that every pet plays a meaningful role in the life of a family. Whether you are navigating pet licensing, looking to understand local leash laws, or seeking guidance on farm animal permits, we are here to ensure you have the information you need to keep your companions happy and secure.
