Our Mission
At Kitty City Kansas, we believe in providing second chances to cats in need through kindness, compassion, and empathy. Our dedicated group of rescuers works tirelessly to change the outcome for every feline that arrives under our care.
Our Story
Formed in 2008, our organization has grown significantly to meet the needs of local animals. In 2014, we were fortunate to move into our own facility near old downtown Lenexa, where we continue to serve as a vital resource for cats facing displacement from shelters with euthanasia policies.
How We Care
Kitty City Kansas operates as a no-kill 501(c)(3) non-profit group committed to the well-being of our residents. Upon arrival, every cat is fully vetted, including vaccinations, testing for Feline Leukemia, and spay or neuter surgery. We strive to provide a safe, nurturing environment until our rescues find their perfect forever homes.
