At Cat House, we believe in peace, love, and the joy of feline companionship. We are dedicated to ensuring long-term harmony for the cats of McPherson by providing compassionate rescue, responsible rehoming, and community support.
Formerly known as the McPherson County Humane Society, our 501(c)3 non-profit organization continues its legacy as a proud no-kill shelter. We operate out of a converted church building designed to provide our cats with the space they need to thrive while awaiting their forever families. Through the generosity of our donors and the hard work of dedicated volunteers, we are able to provide every cat with medical evaluations and a safe, loving environment.
We believe in a shame-free approach to rescue, offering free spay and neuter vouchers and a trap-neuter-release program for community cats. Our incredible network of foster families also opens their homes to kittens needing regular feedings or older cats requiring extra medical and emotional attention. This collaborative effort ensures that every cat receives the comfort and socialization they deserve before finding a home.
Bringing a new furry friend into your life is a life-changing experience. We take the time to perform a thoughtful consultation and background check to ensure our cats are matched with a lifestyle that brings out their best personality. Whether you are looking for a playful youngster or one of our Golden Hearts—our beloved seniors who bring a perfect blend of independence and snuggles—we are here to help you find your next best friend.
Ready to meet your match? We invite you to view our current list of adoptable cats on our website or request an appointment to visit our shelter. Join us in our mission by adopting, fostering, or volunteering to help us continue this vital work for our community.
