Franklin County Humane Society
Our Mission
The Franklin County Humane Society is dedicated to providing compassionate care and support for animals in need while serving our community in Frankfort, Kentucky. We strive to connect pets with loving families and promote responsible pet ownership through our various outreach programs.
Why We Are Here
Our organization addresses the vital needs of local animals by offering essential services ranging from shelter care to public spay/neuter programs. By focusing on community-wide solutions, such as our dedicated spay/neuter initiatives and TNR services, we work to build a brighter future for the animals that share our home in Franklin County.
How We Help
We operate out of our beautiful new shelter at 100 Companion Place, where we prioritize the health and well-being of our residents. In addition to our main facility and our thrift store, we maintain a partnership with Feeders Supply in Frankfort, where visitors can also meet some of our adoptable cats. This multi-site approach allows us to maximize our reach and provide a comfortable, welcoming environment for our animals until they find their perfect match.
Finding Your Perfect Companion
Adoption is a wonderful journey, and our team is committed to making the process transparent and accessible for every family. Whether you are looking for a playful kitten or a seasoned senior dog, we invite you to explore our diverse range of pets currently waiting for their second chances. We celebrate the unique bond between humans and animals and are here to guide you through every step of the adoption experience.
