The Betty J. Martin L.I.F.E. House for Animals is a no-kill canine and feline adoption facility dedicated to nurturing the human-animal bond. We strive to create successful, lasting adoptions while promoting community education and animal awareness.
Our dream began through the incredible generosity of our founder and benefactor, C. Michael Davenport, who donated the land for our facility on Fido Court. Named in honor of Betty J. Martin, our organization is a labor of love driven by a team of dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to provide a bright future for lost and forgotten animals.
As a managed intake, no-kill facility, we ensure that every guest receives the quality care and temperament assessment they deserve. Whether it takes a day or a year, our animals remain with us in our shelter environment until they find their perfect, permanent homes. We are supported by a passionate community and a vast volunteer network that makes this life-saving work possible every single day.
We believe in making the best rescue match by considering the individual personality, energy, and needs of both the animal and your family. Because we view adoption as a lifelong commitment, we provide comprehensive support, including medical care, microchipping, and LIFEtime Pet Coaching for all our alumni. Our goal is to help you find a best friend who truly fits your lifestyle.
Are you ready to meet your new best friend? We invite you to browse our available dogs and cats online or join us for one of our family-friendly events, such as Coffee with Cats & Donuts with Dogs.
