The Menifee County Animal Shelter is a dedicated, volunteer-led, not-for-profit organization committed to making a difference in the lives of animals in need. We work tirelessly to provide care and secure loving, forever homes for every animal that comes into our care.
Located at the County Park in Frenchburg, Kentucky, our shelter was born from a deep community need to provide a safe haven for stray animals. Over the years, our passionate group has successfully re-homed thousands of dogs and cats from Menifee and the surrounding counties, serving as a vital resource for both pets and their owners.
We operate as a result-oriented team, balancing our primary responsibility of assisting local strays with efforts to help pet owners re-home their animals when circumstances change. Beyond daily care, we are proud to provide community spay/neuter assistance and educational opportunities for local schools whenever funds allow. We rely heavily on the compassion of our community to continue this essential work.
Because our animals have often experienced loss, we take great care to ensure each pet is placed in a home perfectly suited to their individual personality and needs. Our adoption process includes a review of applications, veterinarian references, and an interview to ensure a lifetime of happiness for both the animal and your family. We are here to guide you through every step of this rewarding journey.
