Since 1965, the Humane Society of Henderson County has been a trusted advocate for animals, dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming pets in our community. We believe in saving lives every day and providing a compassionate bridge to a better future for every animal that comes through our doors.
For nearly six decades, we have remained committed to serving Henderson County as a cornerstone of animal welfare. Our mission is built on the foundation of promoting responsible pet ownership, providing vital community services, and ensuring that every animal receives the care and dignity they deserve.
We work tirelessly to support both people and pets, providing 365 days of Animal Control services each year. Our facility cares for over 2,600 animals annually, offering a safe environment where rehabilitation and medical care are our top priorities. Together with our community, we are proud to see 1,500 pets find loving homes every year and successfully reunite 250 lost pets with their families.
Choosing to adopt is a beautiful way to change a life forever, and we are here to help you find your new best friend. We focus on creating meaningful, lasting connections by ensuring every pet is matched with a home that supports their needs. Adoption is a joyful partnership that enriches your life just as much as it changes theirs.
There are many ways to make a direct impact, whether you choose to adopt a new companion, volunteer your time, or contribute supplies from our wish list. We invite you to visit us at our Drury Lane location to meet our available animals or reach out to learn more about how you can help. Together, we make a difference in the lives of animals every single day.
