Leitchfield Animal Shelter
Our Mission
At the Leitchfield Animal Shelter, we are dedicated to providing compassionate care, advocacy, and a second chance at life for the stray animals in our community. We believe in nurturing all life, helping pets find their path to a loving, forever home.
Our Story and Community
Since 2016, our team has been committed to serving the City of Leitchfield and Grayson County by providing high-quality shelter and community outreach. We exist to protect and preserve the animals in our care, serving as a vital bridge between lost or abandoned pets and the families waiting to love them.
Our Commitment to Care
We operate an open intake facility where our professional team provides compassionate, daily care for community strays. Our services include sheltering, adoption support, microchipping, and animal control services to ensure the safety of both our pets and the public. We take pride in our ongoing training and our collaborative approach to rehabilitating animals and preparing them for their future families.
Your Role in Their Journey
Adopting from our shelter is about more than just bringing home a pet; it is about choosing to transform a life. When you adopt, you provide a deserving animal with a fresh start, which allows us to open our doors to help even more animals in need. We work closely with every potential adopter to ensure the perfect fit, creating a joyful, life-long partnership between you and your new furry companion.
