Bluegrass Doberman Rescue is committed to helping purebred Dobermans find their forever homes while educating the public about this often misunderstood breed. We believe in providing a needed service through a cooperative effort between volunteers who are deeply passionate about these wonderful dogs.
Formed in 2017 to serve the Kentucky Doberman rescue community, our organization is built on over a decade of collective experience in rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs. We recognize that not everyone can own a Doberman, but we are here to support those who do, ensuring that every dog in our care receives the dedicated attention they deserve.
We are a foster-based rescue, meaning our dogs live in home environments rather than a traditional kennel facility. Because we are an all-volunteer organization, this model allows us to provide personalized care and socialization for every Doberman in our program. It is a true collaborative effort, with our network of volunteers ensuring each dog is healthy and ready for their next chapter.
We believe every dog deserves a stable, last, and truly forever home, which is why we take great care in matching our dogs with the right families. Our process is designed to advocate for our dogs, who cannot speak for themselves, by ensuring they find loving environments where they will be successful. We invite you to be a part of this rewarding journey as we help our rescues transition into their new lives.
Are you ready to meet your new companion? We encourage you to explore our available dogs, learn more about our adoption process, or consider becoming a volunteer or foster. We look forward to hearing from you and helping you find the perfect addition to your family.
