The Arrow Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to healing abused and severely neglected animals through compassionate medical care, advocacy, and education.
Our story began in March 2013 with a black Labrador named Aiden, who was found struggling after a cruel act of violence. At that time, no organization in Kentucky specialized in the intensive rehabilitation required for such extreme cases of abuse, so a dedicated group of advocates stepped up to provide him with the care and home he deserved.
Inspired by Aiden’s resilience, we formed The Arrow Fund to bridge this critical gap, ensuring that innocent victims of cruelty receive the medical attention and support they need to move from a life of horror to a life of healing.
We operate primarily through a compassionate network of foster homes, which allows our rescues to recover in a safe, nurturing, and stable environment. Once we take legal possession of an animal, they are transported to a veterinary facility for treatment before transitioning to a foster family, where they can be retrained and assessed for life in a permanent home.
Because many of our animals come from backgrounds of extreme trauma, we prioritize finding the perfect long-term match to ensure they thrive. We believe in thoughtful, individualized placements that celebrate the unique bond between a rescue survivor and their new family.
Are you ready to find your next best friend? We invite you to explore our available adoptable animals and learn more about our adoption process today. Your decision to adopt not only changes a life forever, but it also helps us continue our mission of providing a voice for those who need it most.
