Owensboro Humane Society
Our Mission
The Owensboro Humane Society operates on the belief that all mankind has a responsibility to respect the creatures of this earth. We are dedicated to improving the life, health, and habitat for rejected, abused, and neglected animals in our Owensboro-Daviess County area.
Our History and Commitment
Since 1968, we have worked to put a stop to abuse, neglect, and overbreeding within our community. We are proud to operate as a no-kill sanctuary, ensuring that every animal receives a safe, nurturing environment until they find their forever home.
How We Care for Animals
Our animals are housed and cared for by our dedicated staff and volunteers at our facility until they are matched with a family. We also utilize a foster care program for animals who need extra time to grow or special medical attention, ensuring every pet receives the individual care they require to thrive.
Finding Your Perfect Companion
We believe that every animal is adoptable and deserves a loving, well-matched home. Our adoption process is thorough to help ensure the best possible outcome for you and your new pet, allowing you both to build a bond of mutual trust and companionship that lasts for years to come.
