The McCracken County Humane Society is dedicated to providing a healthy and safe living environment for unwanted, but adoptable, owner-surrender animals. We strive to advocate for these companions by promoting their adoption into loving, lifelong homes.
With 75 years of service as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we have remained a steadfast partner to the animals and residents of McCracken County. Our team addresses the community need for animal welfare by managing a facility that bridges the gap between animals in transition and their future families.
We operate as a shelter where every animal receives dedicated care, including assessments, vaccinations, deworming, and microchipping upon intake. Because we never euthanize for space, we work closely with rescue partners and our volunteer network to ensure each pet gets the support they deserve. We also proudly support local animal health through our Delta & Gram Spay & Neuter Clinic, helping to control the pet population with low-cost services.
Finding the perfect companion is a heartfelt journey, and our adoption staff is here to help you make a match that lasts a lifetime. We encourage prospective owners to visit our adoption kennels or meet our cats at our PetSmart kiosk to find a friend whose temperament fits your unique lifestyle. We believe that adopting a pet is a beautiful commitment, and we are honored to facilitate those life-changing connections.
Whether you are looking to adopt your new best friend, volunteer your time, or support us through donations, you make our work possible. Please visit our available animals online or stop by our center in Paducah to meet the many wonderful dogs and cats currently waiting for their forever homes.
