Logan County Animal Shelter
Our Mission
The Logan County Animal Shelter is dedicated to the well-being and placement of animals in need, serving our community from our facility in Russellville, Kentucky. We strive to provide a supportive environment for every animal while connecting them with loving forever homes.
Who We Are
As a local department, we are here to support both the residents of Logan County and the animals in our care. Our team provides essential services including animal control, shelter operations, and medical care to ensure our animals are healthy and ready for the next chapter of their lives.
Care and Training
We believe in setting our animals up for success before they go home. Our shelter is more than just a place to stay; we prioritize wellness through standard services like spaying, neutering, vaccinations, and microchipping. We also offer helpful resources for pet owners, including guidance on baby training, house training, and addressing attention-seeking behaviors, as well as providing desensitization protocols to help our shier dogs gain confidence.
Finding Your Perfect Companion
Adopting a pet is a joyful experience, and we are committed to helping you find the right match for your lifestyle. We offer a transparent fee structure that covers essential veterinary care, ensuring you start your journey with a healthy, happy companion. Whether you are looking for a puppy, an adult dog, or a seasoned senior, our team is here to guide you through the process.
