Woodford Humane Society
Our Mission
Woodford Humane Society is dedicated to providing housing and care for homeless and unwanted pets, striving to find good, loving, and permanent homes for every animal that comes through our doors.
Who We Are
Since 1975, we have been a proud 501c3 nonprofit animal adoption center serving the Versailles, Kentucky community. With no government funding, we rely entirely on the generosity of our supporters and private contributions to care for approximately 1,000 animals each year.
Our Commitment to Care
We believe every animal deserves a chance, which is why we accept animals in need regardless of their health, age, or breed. We are proud to maintain a 95% or higher placement rate, and we never put a time limit on how long a pet can stay with us. Our staff and volunteers ensure that every pet remains comfortable, healthy, and happy until they find their perfect forever home.
Finding Your Perfect Match
Adoption is a joyful journey, and our dedicated adoption counselors are here to help bring families and pets together. Every animal in our care receives comprehensive vetting, including spay or neuter surgery, core vaccinations, and necessary screenings to ensure they are ready for their new life. We take the time to get to know each animal’s personality, training, and energy level so we can provide you with the insight needed to make a successful, life-long match.
