Our Mission
Cat Haven is dedicated to making our community a safer, kinder place for felines. For over 25 years, our mission has been to rescue cats and kittens in Greater Baton Rouge and help them find loving, forever homes.
A Legacy of Compassion
Founded in 1999 as an all-volunteer grassroots effort, Cat Haven has grown into a strong, professional organization committed to feline welfare. Since our inception, we have successfully placed more than 23,000 cats and kittens, serving as a beacon of hope for those in need of a second chance.
How We Care
We operate as a dedicated team of staff and volunteers, balancing a warm, welcoming physical adoption center with a robust network of foster families. When space is limited or kittens are too young to stay at our facility, our volunteer fosters provide essential care in their own homes, ensuring every feline receives love and support until they are ready for their new family.
