The Louisiana SPCA is dedicated to promoting, protecting, and advancing the well-being of Louisiana’s companion animals. We believe that the human-animal bond adds to the quality of life in our community and strive to foster that connection every day.

5/19 - St. Bernard woman arrested in animal cruelty investigation
Authorities executed a search warrant at the property in St. Bernard and found what they described as severe animal neglect and cruelty. Investigators found about 47 dogs, including 37 inside the home and 10 outside. They also found chickens, parrots, ferrets, horses and a pony.

10/2 - Last month my wife's dental practice, Westbank Dentistry did their annual serve day. This year they picked the Louisiana SPCA, and Litigator Law came out to help. October 1st begins National Adopt a Shelter Month. Shelters everywhere push adoptions, and these are the dogs they are pushing for. Every one of them is waiting on somebody. Some have been waiting a long time. If you have been thinking about it, go meet them. If you cannot adopt, they take fosters, they take volunteers, and they take donations. All three count.
