Tangipahoa Parish Animal Services
Our Mission
Tangipahoa Parish Animal Services is dedicated to providing a safe, compassionate environment for animals in need while supporting responsible pet ownership within our community. We strive to be a reliable resource that prioritizes the health and well-being of every pet that comes through our doors.
Our Community Commitment
As a vital part of the local government, our department is empowered to enforce laws governing domestic animals, including those designed to manage pet overpopulation. We believe that protecting the safety and health of both animals and humans is a shared responsibility that makes our parish a better place for everyone.
Providing Compassionate Care
We operate a dedicated animal shelter facility in Hammond where we work to reunite lost pets with their families and provide a temporary home for those awaiting adoption. Our team also manages an on-site animal clinic, providing essential veterinary services ranging from routine wellness exams and vaccinations to spay and neuter procedures, all aimed at helping pets live longer, happier lives.
Finding Your Forever Friend
Our adoption process is designed to help you find the perfect companion, and our staff is here to guide you through the journey of adding a new member to your family. By choosing to adopt from us, you are giving a deserving animal a second chance at a loving, forever home.
Get Involved
We invite you to visit our facility at 15487 West Club Deluxe Road in Hammond to meet our current residents, or explore our website to view our adoptable pets. If you are passionate about animal welfare, we encourage you to fill out a volunteer application and join our team in making a lasting difference in the lives of animals in our parish.
