God's PAWS Rescue and Shelter
Our Mission
God’s PAWS Rescue and Shelter is dedicated to providing shelter, sustenance, kindness, and love to neglected and abandoned dogs in LaSalle Parish. Our mission is to ensure every dog in our care finds a safe, happy, and loving forever home.
Our Story
Founded in April 2023 by sisters Stephanie and Heather, our organization was born out of a shared desire to help the many animals in our community left to fend for themselves. We stepped out on faith to create a sanctuary, and thanks to the incredible support of our community and our nonprofit status, we have been able to make a tangible difference in the lives of our local animals.
How We Help
We operate with a focus on providing quality care and enrichment for our dogs, including a dedicated play yard made possible by generous grant funding. Because our space is limited, we rely heavily on our wonderful volunteers to walk the dogs and provide them with the individual attention they crave. We are also actively seeking foster homes to provide a temporary, comforting environment, which allows us to save and support even more dogs in need.
Find Your New Best Friend
Adoption is a beautiful partnership, and we are committed to helping you find the perfect match for your family. By bringing a rescued dog into your home, you are giving a deserving animal a fresh start and a future filled with love. We invite you to view our list of adoptable dogs and get to know the unique personalities currently waiting for their forever families.
Get Involved
We would love for you to join our mission of kindness. Whether you are interested in adoption, becoming a foster, or volunteering your time, there are many ways to make a difference.
