Zeus Rescues
Our Mission
It is the mission, duty, and purpose of Zeus’ Rescues to eradicate pet homelessness and euthanasia within the New Orleans metro area. We are deeply committed to community-building and pet education with a special focus on children and the elderly.
Why We Are Here
We believe every animal deserves a loving, forever home. By pulling pets from high-kill shelters in the metro area, we provide a vital bridge between uncertainty and a future filled with safety, comfort, and companionship.
How We Operate
Zeus’ Rescues is an all-volunteer organization fueled by the generosity of private donations and grants rather than public funding. We operate through a dedicated team that manages our adoption center, coordinates foster homes, and provides enrichment for our animals, ensuring they receive the care and attention they need while awaiting their perfect match.
Finding Your Perfect Companion
Our adoption procedure is designed with care to ensure the best possible match between pet and human. Our adoption counselors use their deep knowledge of each animal's unique disposition to find a home that fits their specific needs, ensuring a healthy and happy long-term relationship for everyone involved.
Get Involved
We invite you to join our community and help us place pets in forever homes. Visit us at our 4601 Freret Street location, explore our current adoptables online, or consider volunteering to walk our dogs and support our mission. Whether you are looking to adopt or simply want to contribute your time, your support helps us transform lives.
