West Baton Rouge Animal Shelter and Animal Control
Our Mission
West Baton Rouge Animal Control is dedicated to ensuring public safety while promoting the welfare and humane treatment of all animals in our community. We work tirelessly to rescue, protect, and find loving homes for the animals in our care.
Serving Our Community
As part of the West Baton Rouge Parish government, we serve as a vital resource for our residents by enforcing local animal ordinances and supporting responsible pet ownership. Our goal is to create a safe, harmonious environment where both people and pets can thrive together.
How We Help
We operate an Animal Control Center where we provide care for stray, abandoned, and injured animals. Our team is committed to the well-being of every animal that enters our facility, ensuring they receive humane treatment while we work to reunite them with their families or prepare them for adoption.
Connecting Pets and People
We believe that every pet deserves a second chance at a happy life in a forever home. By focusing on responsible adoption practices, we help create meaningful, lifelong partnerships between our residents and the animals that need them most.
