City of Slidell Animal Control
Our Mission
The Office of Animal Control is dedicated to enhancing the safety and well-being of our community, working diligently to care for animals in need while promoting their humane treatment. We are committed to finding loving homes for abandoned animals and ensuring that both pets and citizens live in a safe, harmonious environment.
Why We Serve
As part of the Slidell community, we serve as a vital link between lost or abandoned animals and their forever families. We are proud to partner with the Animal Assistance League of Slidell, a private, nonprofit organization that helps us in our mission to educate the public on the safe and humane treatment of all animals.
How We Care
Our office maintains a shelter facility where we provide housing and care for animals brought to us by Animal Control Officers and private citizens. Our professional team works hard to keep our city streets free of strays, perform welfare checks, and ensure every animal in our care receives compassionate attention and support while they wait for their new beginning.
A Joyful Connection
Choosing to adopt is a wonderful way to bring a new best friend into your life, and we are here to make that process as rewarding as possible. Every animal ready for a home is tested, vaccinated, altered, and microchipped before joining your family. We take pride in helping you find the perfect companion, turning a second chance into a lifetime of happiness.
