Pembina Valley Humane Society

Our Mission

The Pembina Valley Humane Society is dedicated to promoting humane and compassionate animal care through sheltering, adoption, education, and community outreach. We strive to be a safe haven for unwanted, abandoned, and stray animals while advocating for the well-being of all companion animals.

Serving Our Community

For over 20 years, we have served the Pembina Valley and beyond, growing from our early days of fostering at-risk animals in the homes of our founders to the dedicated team we are today. We dream of a day where animal shelters are no longer needed, but until then, we remain committed to serving our community and supporting animals in need.

Our Care Model

As a volunteer-run, non-profit organization, we provide a safe, healthy, and caring space for animals waiting for their forever homes. Our dedicated team uses a blend of shelter care and a robust foster program to ensure every animal receives the attention and affection they deserve while they heal and grow. This nurturing environment helps our animals show their true personalities, giving them the best possible chance at a successful adoption.

Your Partnership in Adoption

Adopting from our shelter is a beautiful way to give a second chance to an animal in need while adding a wonderful new member to your family. We are committed to building happy, lasting partnerships between pets and their new humans through a thoughtful matching process. Our staff and volunteers are here to guide you, ensuring that both you and your new companion feel confident and prepared for your life together.
