Steinbach & Area Animal Rescue is dedicated to securing lifelong, loving homes for animals that have been abandoned, found homeless, or surrendered. We strive to provide care, comfort, and compassion while promoting the humane treatment of animals through education, advocacy, and our dedicated services.
Founded in 2013, our non-profit organization has been committed to serving the southeast region of Manitoba for over a decade. As awareness of our mission has grown, so has the demand for our support, driving our team to work tirelessly to manage the local pet population and control disease in our community and surrounding areas.
We are a nearly 100% volunteer-based organization, operating through a blend of foster settings and our facility at 39 Keating Road. Our compassionate foster families act as the lifeline of our rescue, offering a safe, nurturing environment where animals can heal, socialize, and thrive while they wait for their forever families. This collaborative approach allows us to provide each animal with the personalized love and medical attention they truly deserve.
We believe that every journey begins with a single paw, and our goal is to unite pets with families for a lifetime of joy. Our team focuses on thoughtful matching to ensure your new companion perfectly complements your lifestyle, family dynamics, and daily habits. By choosing to adopt, you are not only welcoming a best friend into your home but also opening up space for us to help another animal in need.
We invite you to meet the wonderful cats and dogs currently waiting for their second chance at happiness. Please browse our adoptables online or visit us during our operating hours to learn more about the adoption process. Together, we can create lasting change—one tail wag and one purr at a time.
