CHARM Rescue
Our Mission
At CHARM Rescue, we are dedicated to saving lives by rescuing, rehabilitating, and finding forever homes for animals in need. We work to ensure a future where every pet is safe, cared for, and valued, healing hearts one rescue at a time.
Our Roots and Renewal
Founded as the Chesapeake Animal Rescue Mission, our organization has deep roots in Maryland's animal welfare history. Following an organizational overhaul in 2020 by a new, independent Board of Directors, we have fully committed ourselves to a future defined by transparency, integrity, and a compassionate, volunteer-led approach to animal welfare.
How We Care
We are a 100% foster-based organization, which means our animals receive love and individualized attention in private homes while they wait for their perfect match. While we are currently renovating our physical facility to provide future rescue space and a low-cost spay/neuter clinic, our dedicated network of volunteers and fosters remains the backbone of our daily operations.
Your Partner in Adoption
We believe that every adoption is a joyful partnership. Our thoughtful process is designed to match the right animal with the right family, ensuring the safety and long-term success of every placement. By getting to know our animals' unique personalities and needs, we help create lasting connections that bring happiness to both pets and their new people.
