Talbot Humane is dedicated to providing a safe and healthy environment for all animals in our care while serving the people and pets of Maryland’s Eastern Shore. For over 90 years, our organization has remained committed to protecting animals from cruelty and neglect while supporting the vital human-animal bond. We continue to grow our reach, providing essential resources like low-cost spay/neuter services, pet food pantries, and medical and behavioral support to ensure pets and their families thrive together.

As the only open-admission shelter in Talbot County, we provide a welcoming space for every animal in need, regardless of their background. Our dedicated staff and passionate volunteers work daily to meet the mental and physical needs of our animals through enrichment and individualized care. We are committed to placing every treatable, adoptable pet into a loving home, with no time limits on their stay with us.
