Anne Arundel County Animal Services
Our Mission
Anne Arundel County Animal Services is dedicated to promoting the humane treatment of animals and ensuring safe, positive interactions between humans and animals in our community. We believe every animal deserves a safe environment and a loving future.
Who We Are
As the primary resource for stray domestic animals in Anne Arundel County, we serve as a vital hub for animal welfare and public safety. Every year, we are honored to reunite hundreds of lost pets with their families and help over 2,000 animals find their forever homes through adoption and our dedicated rescue partners.
How We Care
Our facility provides essential, temporary shelter for animals in transition, supported by an incredible team of staff and foster volunteers. We actively seek to expand our foster network to provide extra comfort and individual attention to pets who may need a little more time to thrive outside of the shelter environment. Every animal in our care receives professional medical support from our on-site team, ensuring they are healthy and ready for their next chapter.
Your Next Best Friend
Adopting is a rewarding journey, and we are here to make that process simple and transparent for you. We focus on helpful, thoughtful matching, encouraging potential adopters to visit our facility to meet our wonderful animals and discover which pet best fits their lifestyle and family. Whether you are looking for a cat, dog, rabbit, bird, or other companion, your perfect match is waiting.
