Chesapeake Feline Association is a dedicated, all-volunteer, no-kill feline rescue committed to creating a better world for cats and kittens in the Cecil County area. Since 2009, we have been working tirelessly to ensure that every feline we encounter receives the care, respect, and love they deserve.
Founded by a passionate group of women who originally joined forces to address the local overpopulation crisis through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) initiatives, our organization has grown significantly over the last 16 years. We remain deeply focused on the rescue, care, and adoption of homeless felines, driven by the belief that every cat deserves a safe place to call home.
We operate through a combination of a dedicated shelter facility in North East, Maryland, and a compassionate foster network. This hybrid approach allows us to provide a haven for our residents while they wait for their forever families, with long-term residents living out their lives in our shelter surrounded by the warmth of our volunteers. Beyond rescue, we are proud to provide vital feline population control services, including free spay and neuter programs for qualifying community members.
Adoption is a life-long partnership, and we are here to ensure that your new feline friend is the perfect fit for your lifestyle and home. Our experienced team carefully reviews every application to foster lasting bonds, looking out for the best interests of both our cats and their future families. Whether you are looking for a playful kitten or a wise senior companion, we are here to guide you through the process with care and transparency.
Are you ready to meet your new best friend? We invite you to view our adoptable cats on Petfinder or visit us at our partner locations to see the wonderful personalities waiting for you. Together, we can change lives, one cat at a time.
