Chesapeake Cats and Dogs
A Second Chance for Every Heart
Chesapeake Cats and Dogs (CCAD) is a lifetime haven and no-kill animal rescue dedicated to rehabilitating and providing a second chance to animals that have been abandoned, abused, or surrendered. We believe in providing a life of love and dignity to every cat and dog in our care.
Our Journey and Mission
Formed in 2006, our organization began with a small facility in Stevensville before evolving into the Tree of Life Pet Sanctuary in Queenstown. We were built by the dedication of volunteers who transformed a farmhouse into a safe haven, fueled by the hope of ending needless overpopulation and neglect in our community.
Our Care Model
We operate as a blend of a dedicated sanctuary and a vital foster network to ensure every animal gets the attention they need. Our Tree of Life Pet Sanctuary serves as a home for adult cats, while our dogs and kittens thrive in the loving, personalized environment of volunteer foster homes until they find their perfect match.
Finding Your Perfect Companion
We work diligently to connect responsible, loving families with their new lifelong members. By prioritizing thoughtful matches, we ensure that every adoption is the beginning of a beautiful, forever partnership that enriches both your home and the animal's life.
