Last Chance Animal Rescue
Our Mission
Last Chance Animal Rescue is dedicated to minimizing the euthanasia of homeless pets through proactive adoption efforts and the provision of high-quality, low-cost spay and neuter services. We believe every animal deserves a second chance at a loving, permanent home.
Our Journey
Since 1999, we have been working tirelessly to transform the lives of homeless animals throughout Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. Having already provided loving homes for more than 100,000 cats and dogs, we remain committed to our founding goal of saving lives and supporting our community.
How We Help
We operate by rescuing cats and dogs from over 50 high-kill shelters across 12 states. By partnering with more than 30 PetSmart and Petco stores throughout the region, we provide accessible in-store adoption centers that bring pets closer to their forever families. Beyond adoption, we also provide vital disaster-relief services for pets in need.
Your Partner in Adoption
Choosing to adopt is a life-changing decision for both you and your new companion. We ensure our pets receive comprehensive care, including vaccinations, spay/neuter services, and parasite treatment before they reach you. We are here to guide you through this journey, ensuring that your new pet is ready to thrive in their new environment.
