The Animal Protection Center of Southeastern Massachusetts (APCSM) is dedicated to creating a more compassionate community by providing safe shelter, loving care, and second chances for animals in need. We strive to prevent cruelty and promote lifelong, meaningful bonds between people and their animal companions.
Since 2009, we have been proud to serve Plymouth, Norfolk, and Bristol counties. Over the years, we have helped more than 15,000 animals find their forever homes through our committed efforts in humane education, outreach, and dedicated animal advocacy.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we rely entirely on the generosity of our community, as we receive no state or federal funding. We operate a managed-admission shelter that provides comprehensive care, including medical exams, vaccinations, spay/neuter services, and behavioral support, ensuring every animal is well-prepared for their next chapter.
We believe that every adoption should be a safe, thoughtful, and lifelong match. Our adoption counselors work closely with you to understand your lifestyle and the unique needs of our animals, ensuring a joyful and lasting partnership. We are here to support you through every step of this rewarding process.
Your support keeps our doors open and allows us to continue our vital work. We invite you to view our available animals, visit us in Brockton, or explore ways to donate and volunteer. Together, we can provide the gift of life to those who need it most.
