Getting Homeless Dogs Home
Greyhound Friends, Inc. is a dedicated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to helping homeless dogs find their way into responsible, loving homes. We are fueled by a passion for second chances, specifically focusing on sighthounds and other dogs in need of a fresh start.
Our History and Mission
Founded in 1983, we have spent over 40 years building a compassionate community of advocates, volunteers, and adopters. Our mission is to place dogs in permanent homes while promoting animal welfare through ongoing education and community outreach programs.
How We Care for Our Dogs
Operating from our kennel facility in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, we provide a safe haven for dogs arriving from a variety of backgrounds. Our site includes a state-mandated isolation room, which allows us to care for dogs arriving from regions where overbreeding is prevalent and local resources are limited. Through the collaboration of dedicated staff and our international and local rescue partners, we have successfully rehomed over 10,000 dogs.
Building a Forever Partnership
We believe that every adoption is the beginning of a beautiful, lifelong partnership. By thoughtfully connecting deserving dogs with the right families, we ensure that both the pet and the adopter find the companionship they are looking for. Our team is here to support you throughout the process, providing guidance and transparency so you can feel confident in your decision to adopt.
