Ipswich Humane Group Inc.
Our Mission
The Ipswich Humane Group is a dedicated non-profit organization working hand-in-hand with Ipswich Animal Control to provide a safe, no-kill shelter for animals in need. We believe every cat and dog deserves a second chance at a loving, permanent home.
Our Story
Since our founding in 1982, we have grown from a small group of volunteers with big hearts into a cornerstone of our community. What began as a local effort to provide basic weekend care for shelter animals has blossomed into a robust organization that has successfully rehomed over 3,000 pets.
How We Care
We operate as a 100% volunteer-run and donation-funded organization, ensuring every resource goes directly toward the welfare of our animals. Our comprehensive care model includes a dedicated shelter facility, a network of foster parents for special needs pets, and partnerships with local veterinarians to provide essential medical attention and spay/neuter services.
Your Role as an Adopter
Adoption is a joyful partnership that transforms lives, and we are here to help you find the perfect companion for your family. By choosing to adopt, you support our mission of compassion and directly contribute to the ongoing care of the many animals waiting for their own fresh start.
Visit Us
We invite you to experience the warmth of our community and meet our adoptable pets firsthand. Join us for our weekly open house every Sunday from 2 pm to 4 pm at 17 Fowlers Lane, or contact us at 978-356-6652 to schedule a private appointment. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend.
