Founded in 1868, we are the second-oldest humane society in the United States and a national leader in animal protection. For over 150 years, we have evolved to meet the changing needs of animals, providing life-saving care, advocacy, and community resources to help families keep their pets happy and healthy.

We provide hands-on care for thousands of animals each year through our network of adoption centers across Massachusetts. Our dedicated staff and volunteers offer daily medical treatment and behavioral support in a safe environment, ensuring every animal receives the individualized attention they need while awaiting their forever home.
